In 1924, Pat & John started out with a passion to produce only the finest quality Italian bread and rolls. They also felt a deep concern to provide service that was above and beyond what was expected. This idea of dedicated service, which included extensive community involvement, was a strong factor in De Iorio's infancy. The many neighborhood housewives of that time would attest to that fact. They would call upon the De Iorio's brick ovens to bake the bread that they would make at home, as well as the hundreds of turkeys and hams that were baked for them in the same ovens during the holiday seasons.

This passion for quality and service established a philosophy that still permeates through the company today.

In the beginning only the finest ingredients available were used in the De Iorio baking process. These ingredients included only unbleached high-protein Spring Wheat flour. This is the same flour being used in our products today. Every load of flour delivered to our production facilities is only accepted after approval of its flour analysis. This is an integral part of De Iorio's commitment to consistent quality.

We demand this level of quality for all our ingredients. At our quality control test facility, random samples of each batch of frozen product are tested before shipment. This ensures that only those products meeting the rigorous standards determined by De Iorio's management team are shipped to our customers.
