Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Repair all equipment to performance standards.
• Keep all equipment in good working order.
• Document the preventative maintenance schedule and work orders.
• Maintain the facility in a safe manner.
• Ensure maintenance areas are clean, sanitary, and well organized.
• Report to work on time in clean, complete uniform. Maintain good personal hygiene. Ensures that all team members do the same.
• Always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), personal safety, and food safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and develop sustainable solutions for issues with equipment, to include PLC controlled equipment, plant electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and mechanical systems including motors, distribution control systems.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a PLC technician role in distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, including, but not limited to, 110V, 220V, 440V, and low voltage control systems.
• Work includes, but is not limited to, wiring panel boards, running conduit, pulling wire, etc. Performs similar work on relays, timers, electric eyes, vibrators and controls, electronic controls (motor drives, programmable controllers, process controllers, etc.) and other control equipment, etc. Frequently works from complicated wiring diagrams.
• Strong PLC equipment knowledge, troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills of processing and packaging machinery.
• Order and install parts, read, and understand mechanical parts drawings.
• Industrial refrigeration experience preferred.
• Welding, fabrication preferred.
• Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
• Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted.
• Assist with equipment change overs and line startups, troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Maintain and repair all plant equipment with minimal instruction.
Work Environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be high. The team member must have a strong safety awareness to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
• Ability to work Sunday – Saturday, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, support a 24 hour/7-day operation as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour.
