Take a Break from Homemade Pizza to Celebrate the Burger!
Here on our blog we often give you recipes for homemade pizza, and tell you about gluten-free pizza crust, and frozen pizza dough. But if you run a restaurant, pizzeria, or cafeteria, the chances are good that along with pizza, you also sell burgers. And that’s why we wanted to break from pizza (just for a second, we promise!) and tell you about National Hamburger Day!
National Hamburger Day is December 21, and there’s a little more American history behind this menu item than you may have originally thought. It’s often been debated whether or not hamburgers are technically the ultimate “American food” because the burger was actually born in Hamburg, Germany. However, it was only the patty that was eaten across the ocean, and it was here in the United States that the idea to put it in a bun and top it with tons of stuff was born. And many believe that it was in Seymour, Wisconsin that this tradition first started taking place.
To let your customers know that you’re about more than pizza (although delicious pizza, at that,) discount burgers just for the day – and make sure you offer all those yummy American toppings too!
