Use Pizza Dough Balls to Make Your Own Quesadillas
Start by rolling out the pizza crust on a very generously floured surface. Sprinkle flour onto the actual dough too, and roll until the dough is as thin as possible. You’ll need it to be approximately the same thinness as a flour tortilla.
Then heat your griddle to its highest setting; do not grease it or drizzle oil onto it. Place the uncooked dough onto the griddle once it’s very hot and allow it to cook for just a few minutes. Once it starts to puff up, about two to three minutes, use tongs to flip it and cook for about 30 seconds on the other side. Remove from griddle and continue making more tortillas. Once they are all finished, allow them to cool completely.
Once you have the tortillas cooked you can place different quesadilla toppings, such as cheese and chopped cooked chicken breast, onto one side of the tortilla. Fold it up, throw it into a frying pan and turn just once to cook. Once the cheese inside has melted, you’ll have a delicious quesadilla made completely by scratch. And you can even pass them onto your customers if you’d like, too.
